LUNCHTIME SPECIALIST #1 Hasaki

Fusion Japanese food may have become the latest craze in New York in recent years. However, the East Village has been offering a more traditional touch of Japan, which can be both pleasing and comforting to many expatriate Japanese. In East Village, there are Japanese groceries, Izakayas (Japanese Tapas bars) and an uncountable amount of Japanese restaurants. Many may feel lucky or even be elated that there are so many choices. But the choices may overwhelm some.  Hasaki, a sushi restaurant that has been open for 20 years is an excellent choice.

Known for its fresh sushi and sashimi, Hasaki will please any diner. The recommended lunch-time meals are the Steak Don & Flower Garden, a combination of sushi, sashimi and salad. The Steak Don, on the other hand, has a bed of juicy prime rib eye, cooked with soy sauce and butter that is on top of hot, steaming rice. even in a bustling New York, you can enjoy a relaxed, traditional-style lunch at Hasaki!

"The Domestic Diva" The Great Martha Stewart introduced our Rairai-Ken, a tiny Japanese Ramen Shop on her Martha Stewart Show!

Oh well, you might not know what is Ramen-it's a Japanese noodle soup, often garnished with small pieces of meat & vegetables. It's been wildly popular food in Japanese for decades and decades and it's getting notably popular here among New Yorkers .

During the segment, the owner of Rairai-Ken, Bon Yagi discuss the characteristics of Ramen at Rairai-Ken. It doesn't use any MSG.
