Summer Pick #1: Hiyashi Chuka @ Rairai Ken
Hello,
I'm introducing a classic summer noodle, Hiyashi Chuka, today,
For all those who are not really familiar with Japanese cuisine, Hiyashi Chuka, is cold noodles served with lots of toppings. (Toppings can vary, but popular toppings are thin omelette strips, boiled chicken, cucumber, tomatoes, beni shoga) During a hot summer, this is something we enjoy so much.
Please stop by Rai Rai Ken and slurp Hiyashi Chuka!

Introducing Baked Curry @ Curry-Ya
Have you every heard of "Yaki Curry", the dish is becoming undeniably one of the most popular dishes in Japan?
Yaki-Curry, Baked Curry in Gratin Style, is originated at the cafe in a small town called Moji Port Town in Kita Kyushu around 1950s. One day a chef made Curry Gratin using left-over curry, and it came out amazingly delicious and became a signature dish soon after.
Since Moji Port, located on the northern tip of Kyushu, was a prosperous international trading port from Meiji period to World War II, we can imagine how deeply Western culture influenced the dining culture around this town. Result? Please try Yaki-Curry at Curry-Ya and tell us.
